How to Choose the Right School Backpack

Students love the backpack for this is thebag where they can easily access everything they need in one bag. There are somany marketed out there that it could be quite confusing to choose among them,especially if you don’t know what the right bag is. So, what exactly makes itright? As a parent, you are charged to make surethat the backpack chosen by your child is the right one, even if it is gothicdesigned or superhero. It does not help that there are national standardizedtests to think about which means more books. If your child has to bring along alaptop to school, then your choices would have to be more practical. The worstthing is, as there is so much new information available the books are alsogetting thicker and larger. So it is necessary that the backpack not only beable to accommodate the load but it also has to be comfortable to use.

1. Make sure that it is big enough to store all of the school needsalthough if the weight gets too much, over 15% of the body weight, then itwould also not be safe for the back and the neck.

2. There should be pockets and slots for the electronic gadgets theyneed to bring with them also like their calculators and mobiles, even theirwater bottles.

4. If the backpack is not waterproof then make sure it is. Sweat couldgo through water resistant materials which could damage the contents.

5. Choose a backpack that has double stitches for a more durable seamor is seam-welded if it is water proof.

6. Do not choose metal zippers for they can rust easily, but also donot choose zippers which are made from flimsy materials. If the load rips thezips apart then they are not fully functional.

7. Make sure the handles are reinforced for a student can get lazy andcould just pick up the pack from the handles. If the weak spots do not haveextra stitching it could cause a lot of damage, and not only for the contents.

8. Avoid the ultra cheap backpacks. It is better to spend more if itwould mean durability. The longer life span of the backpack would make it costeffective, not expensive or luxurious.
